The Valle Verde Rotary Club of Green Valley presented checks totaling over $24,000.00 to nine school music programs at their regular meeting today. That’s about half of the funds raised at Jazz in the Desert 2024, held March 2, 2024 at the Diamond Center in Sahuarita. The event raised more than $48,000, to be shared between the schools’ music programs and other Valle Verde Rotary local, national and international projects.
Participating schools were Great Expectations Academy, Anza Trail School, Continental School, Sahuarita High School, Sahuarita Middle School, Walden Grove High School, Wade Carpenter Middle School, Rio Rico High School and Nogales High School.
The 16th annual Jazz in the Desert is set for Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Diamond Center.
